Machine learning models are being used around the world to great effect. Ulrich Paquet, a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, shares a project he worked on with conservationists in the Serengeti wildlife reserve in Africa. The conservation team set up mobile cameras around the reserve that take millions of photos every day, and Ulrich and the team at Google DeepMind developed a classification model to identify animals in those pictures.
